GO

This sign stands at the parking lot exit of a church that one of my pastor friends serves. It is a reminder to every Christian that our church buildings are not where Jesus has called us to be. He instructed His disciples and us to "GO" and make disciples. If we are waiting for the local bus to drop off seekers at our church doors so that we can lead them to faith in Jesus Christ, we will be found to be like the servant who buried his master's money in the ground for safe keeping. Our churches are the places that we go to learn and to be strengthened and taught in the faith but it is the world in which we live that we are to witness to God's love for us; as it is expressed in the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
