As I was looking through the pictures from our recent vacation, I ran across this one which reminded me of the importance for Christians to be lighthouses to their non-Christian friends and acquaintances. "Huh?" You might say. Well, a lighthouse guards the shoreline of the seas and oceans and gives warning and guidance to ships as they approach the land mass. Jesus calls us to go into all the world and make disciples and teach them to obey His commands. If you think about it, that really is similar to what the lighthouse does for the ships. We are to show people the way and warn them of the pitfalls of life that could result in a permanent life shipwreck. In addition, we also can be a sanctuary for people to come to and take refuge in in times of trouble. Are you letting your light shine into the world and trying to help people find their way to the path that leads to God and eternal life?
